2023 Toyota Highlander Redesign
PLANO, TX (October 13, 2022) — The bold and distinctive design of the fourth-generation Toyota Highlander will become even more prominent in 2023 with the new Bronze Edition, exclusive to the Highlander Hybrid powertrain.
Designed with sophistication in mind, the new Highlander Hybrid Bronze Edition, available in Cement (Bronze Edition only), Wind Chill Pearl (new to fourth-generation Toyota Highlanders) or Midnight Black Metallic, features bronze accents on the exterior and interior.
Including 18-inch bronze wheels, bronze interior stitching, illuminated bronze door sills, and mid-century seats with modern SofTex trim with fabric insert and bronze stitching. The 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid gets a new Bronze Edition, pictured below, that adds bronze-colored wheels, door sills, seat covers, floor mats, and badges.
2023 Toyota Highlander Rumors Style
The new 2023 Bronze Edition adds plenty of bronze accents to what was originally part of the Highlander Hybrid XLE. The 2023 model year will also introduce a new bronze version of the interior, which is quite chic indeed. The new Hybrid Bronze Edition complements the entire range and is finished in Cement or Windchill Pearl body colour and features a stunning set of 18-inch bronze wheels.
New offerings for the 2023 Highlander include Wind Chill Pearl, now added to the body color scheme (replacing Blizzard Pearl), and the addition of electric passenger seat height/tilt adjustments, which will also be standard on fourth generation XLE generation Toyota Highlanders and up.
Another option is a color change from Blizzard Pearl to Wind Chill Pearl, which will make the 2023 Highlander brighter and more attractive.
The interior of the 2023 Highlanders offers practicality across all trim levels with a sportier interior styling exclusive to the XSE trim level. Inside the Highlander XSE, you get unique interior styling that adorns black SofTex trim seats, ambient lighting, and carbon fiber trim on the dash.
2023 Toyota Highlander Redesign Exterior
First released in 2022 and continuing through the 2023 model year, the fourth-generation Toyota Highlander XSE badge marks sporty driving with specially tuned suspension treatment, unique exterior styling and a unique interior.
The Toyota Highlander has been completely redesigned for the 2020 model year, with a sporty XSE trim level coming in 2022 with a noticeably more aggressive exterior and some mechanical changes. The Toyota Highlander features high-quality interior materials, updated multimedia technology, a wide range of standard safety features, and free scheduled maintenance for two years or 25,000 miles. The fourth-generation Toyota Highlander can tackle any road with a choice of front-wheel drive or three different all-wheel-drive systems: two for V6 models, and one unique all-wheel-drive system for the Highlander Hybrid.
2023 Toyota Highlander Specs
The Highlander Hybrid features a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and a choice between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Leveraging Toyota’s hybrid expertise, the optional hybrid configuration offers buyers something more economical than the 2023 Toyota Highlander. The cheaper Highlander Hybrid adds a separate electric motor to provide power to the rear wheels as needed, for traction or agility. The trade-off is acceleration performance, both due to the Highlander Hybrid’s lower power rating and the model’s use of a CVT instead of a non-hybrid eight-speed automatic.
The EPA estimates that a V-6 engine will deliver up to 29 mpg on the freeway when equipped with front-wheel drive; four-wheel drive reduces it by 2 mpg.
Hybrid models have higher ratings, with front-wheel-drive options earning 36 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway. Combined EPA-rated fuel consumption is 24 mpg, while the cheaper Highlander Hybrid gets 36 mpg; in both cases, adding all-wheel drive reduces 1 mpg from the combined EPA rating.
Comparing these vehicles to each other, Toyota comes out on top in terms of fuel economy. The top trim is luxurious, fuel economy is good – or excellent with the hybrid model.
2023 Toyota Highlander Rumors Interior
In particular, one feature of the 2023 Toyota Highlander that has stunned critics is that the 2023 Toyota Highlander offers Multi-terrain Select on all-wheel drive models. The 2023 Toyota Highlander offers a long list of standard features that could justify its higher price. According to a recent review of the 2023 Toyota Highlander by Car and Drivers, the 2023 Toyota Highlander is a “good” three-row SUV for families.
Families looking for a mid-size SUV with a spacious third row should consider the Chevrolet Traverse, Volkswagen Atlas, or Kia Telluride. When you consider that the only other three-row hybrid SUV is the even smaller Kia Sorento, the Highlander’s lack of size is suddenly no longer an issue.
The Highlander has gained more space behind its third row in the latest generation, but remains one of the smallest in the segment.
As our luggage tests of the Highlander and its competitors have shown, Toyota offers even less room when all seats are up. We’re only talking a few inches because the Highlander is still an awfully big car. Even less obvious – at least if you’re just driving a Toyota Highlander – is the front passenger seat’s eight-speed power adjustment on higher trims.
